Who can join the Pop Rock Choirs?

Absolutely anyone! We welcome complete beginners as well as experienced singers. You don’t need to read sheet music or prepare solos—everything is taught by ear.

Do I need previous singing experience?

Not at all. Many of our members have never sung before joining. Our sessions are designed to be accessible, relaxed, and supportive.

What kind of music do you sing?

Our repertoire is broad and varied—ranging from traditional gospel through the 1960s right up to modern-day pop and rock. Previous sessions have included songs by The Beatles, Blondie, The Specials, Coldplay, The Proclaimers, Snow Patrol, and The Killers.

What happens in a typical session?

Each rehearsal includes:

• A warm and friendly welcome

• Gentle vocal warm-ups

• Learning songs together by ear (no sheet music required)

• Simple group harmonies

• A fun, relaxed atmosphere where every voice matters

• Time to chat with tea, coffee and homemade cakes and bakes after the session

Where are the choirs based?

We currently run choirs in Mortain and Gorron, with occasional special workshops elsewhere.

How much does it cost?

We run 10-week choir courses, plus affordable taster sessions for new singers. There are also couple discounts available. (Exact pricing is announced before each term.)

Do you perform?

Yes! Each term ends with a performance night where members can share what they’ve learned with family, friends, and the local community.

Can I book the choir for a private event?

Yes. We offer private group bookings for team-building events, community gatherings, or special occasions with family and friends. These can take place at our venue or at yours.
